Im a 27 year old accountant that has worked in so many different business settings I don’t even know where to start. Before I went to college, I worked as a cook, in retail, in automotive, in an assembly plant, as an administrative assistant, bookkeeper, accountant, security manager, the list goes on and on. What I always knew is that I wanted to be an accountant because I understood it.
College, day 1, Dr. B at 8 am - he assigned the entire book. 13 chapters, 14 weeks, every problem, every question, plus more on top of that. What I realized by week 2 was that I am picking it up without problem and acing the class. After 4 years of that, I took my first professional gig at VTD LLP as a staff auditor. 2 years later I have the opportunity to start my own company and move to San Diego. Not being a huge risk taker, I also took a full time job that worked Monday through Thursday leaving me 3 days to work on my own.
So here I am, living and working in San Diego, and looking for the next opportunity. I am currently taking the CPA exam as a next step, and am looking for something exciting to jump into.
